Pre-eclampsia? I had that at the end of one of my pregnancies, but I don’t know if it could cause a miscarriage. It’s when you GET high blood pressure from being pregnant. As soon as you deliver, your pressure goes back to normal.

Pre-eclamsia……this disorder can also have seizures! Just give your friend support and love. Sounds like she needs it. Most the time this problem will resolve after the pregnancy is over. The doctor may have to give your friend something to control her blood pressure next time?

The condition is called Preeclampsia. When associated with seizure activity, it is called Eclampsia. THe primary goal of pre-eclampsia is to stablize the woman enough to avoid miscarriage or the progression to Eclampsia.
