That’s a diuretic (water pill) and it’s actually used in a lot of blood pressure meds,so,yea.

Yes, that’s what it’s for. That’s not a high dosage at all so you might not notice for a few days. That is a combo drug that also contains a ‘water pill’ so make sure to drink plenty of fluids. You don’t want to get dehydrated.

I think what you’re referring to is Hydrochlorothiazide. It is a diuretic, and yes, it helps lower blood pressure.

I take 25milligrams a day , all it does is rid water from your body , I do not like them ..They are too weak of a water pill ..Yes they do lower your blood pressure !

I have been taking it for years, and it is a diuretic ( aka water pill) often prescribed for hypertension. Yes it is effective when taken along with changes in diet ( [particularly LESS sodium) and exercise.

Hydrochlorothiazide is a “positive” for helping pull off the extra fluid in the body. Extra fluid is a condition called “edema.” I was prescribed 25 mg. and that was “too much.” Needless to say, I have been using (l/2 of that) -12.5 mg. per day and I have felt like a “million dollars.” I mean, I sincerely feel like a new person. I go to the bathroom often because of it, but it “works.” Yes, the medication will reduce the fluid within the body and LOWER your blood pressure. This is a plus for you.
