are you taking medication? some medications cause sleepiness. you might need an adjustment on the dosage too. sometimes depression causes it too. talk to your doctor.

It sure can and if this is a known problem, you need to get your little self in to your physician who is treating it. This could be a sign of a blocked artery, etc. and if they catch things quick enough they can fix it which is a whole lot better than waiting and trying to repair damaged heart.

Your body is not acting its norm, it is your body’s way of telling you to get help. You can also check on-line with the American Heart Association and they have warning signs listed.

Please, I encourage you to get to your physician as soon as you can and if they aren’t available, get to emergency.

High blood pressure causes alot of things which include dizzy-ness, short breathing, headaches and getting tired fastly. All of those factors reduce the body’s ability to maintain its’ strength, which resolve into sleeping more; as the heart sends a signal to the brain that it needs to rest.. but, sleeping alot causes even more tiredness, it’s not good to sleep more than 8 hours a day; it would cause both physical and emotional damage. So I advice you to try your best to just sleep those healthy hours and give a slack on that salt LOL – hope that was good enough info

I’m not aware of any link between hypertension and increased sleep. If anything, hypertension has been linked to insufficient sleep and sleep apnea. If you are taking antihypertensive meds, they can sometimes cause fatigue or drowsiness. As long as getting more sleep isn’t causing some other problem for you, I’d consider it a blessing.
